WEIMAR — At the most recent City Council meeting, Weimar Police Chief Mark Jameson gave another commendation for the actions of one of his officers.
With EMS chief Michael Furrh on standby to give his blessing, Chief Jameson awarded the life-saver award to Officer Robin Allen for her actions keeping an overdosed resident from dying after applying two doses of Narcan. The resident survived long enough for EMS to arrive and take over life-saving duties from that point.
Allen received recognition for her awareness of the situation and ability to act quickly to save a life and increase the patient’s chance of surviving until they received care from EMS and the hospital.
