The Columbus Lions donated $3,000 to the capital campaign to “Save Our Opera House”.
The District Governor, Jane Istre, was in town and complimented the Organization on the outstanding work they do for and throughout the community.
The state approved the elevator plans just a few weeks ago allowing the work to begin with hopes of being completed by early April.
Other repairs to the third floor have begun and plans for the second-floor bathrooms are still underway. One of the architects of the renovations in the 70’s, Barry Moore, has been available to answer questions, which is helpful to the Building Committee.
CHPT is very grateful for this generous donation which brings the campaign to 70% of its goal.
