The Columbus Cardinals varsity swim team competed in the UIL 4A and under Region 4 District 14 swim meet at Northside Independent School District in San Antonio on Friday, Jan. 19.
The boys 200m medley relay consisting of Shane Kulhanek, Alex Rester, Jase Rau and Cade Neumann advanced to regionals placing 2nd with a time of 2 minutes and 27.78 seconds. The boys 200m freestyle relay also advanced to regionals placing 4th with a time of 2:27.78, the team consisted of Elijah Owen, Jase Rau, Shane Kulhanek and Cade Neumann Cade Neumann also advanced individually in the boys 50m placing 2nd with a time of 24.39 seconds. Other times were Isabelle Rodriguez 50m Freestyle 16th place 44.61, Jase Rau 50m Freestyle 9th place 28.73 and Elijah Owen 50m Freestyle 12th 30.00.
