It’s Gala time at St. Anthony School! Mark your calendar for Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. and prepare to enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. This year’s Gala will be held at the Southern Oaks Event Center (formerly Braden Hall). Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased from any SAS student or the school office. Purchased tickets will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win $1,000. Reserved tables for 8 and sponsorships are also available. Contact the school office for more information.

St. Anthony students are also selling Catholic Life Insurance raffle tickets. The Grand Prize is winner’s choice of a $20,000 Prepaid Visa Card or a Roman Holiday Vacation for four. In addition, St. Anthony will have a $1,000 winner drawn from tickets sold by SAS students. The $5 tickets may be purchased from any student or the school office until Jan. 26.

Today the St. Anthony basketball teams will play against St. Michael in Weimar beginning at 5 p.m.

The local KC Free Throw contest will be held for kids ages 9-14 in the St. Anthony Gym on Jan. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon. Participants need to bring their birth certificate to show proof of age at registration.

Last month St. Anthony held a blanket drive and the families donated 70 blankets to be given to the Homeless Coalition of the Golden Crescent in Victoria.

There will be no school on Jan. 15 for Martin Luther King Day and staff In-Service.
