Raiders fall to Edna as season nears close

Whi le the Rice Raiders’ playoff hopes have been dashed for some time, their hopes to finish as high in the standings as possible took a hit after taking a 66-46 defeat to the district- leading Edna Cowboys on Friday night.

The Raiders performed better on offense than their last game against Edna, but they struggled once again defensively as the Cowboys created a huge lead that Rice could not recover from.

The Raiders’ final game of the season is Tuesday, Feb. 7 away from home as they finish with an improved season record over last year.
