How Weimar’s season will turn around

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Huddle, and today we are talking about the Weimar Wildcats and Ladycats.

Both teams have been in a little bit of a rough patch before the holiday break, but things can and will turn things around in the back half of the season.

Looking at the rosters you can see that these teams are built to succeed especially during their district schedule. They have players that can make plays up and down their roster they are just dealing with a bit of a rough patch.

It is still early enough in the season to get things turned around and I am going to explain how.

So, the thing with these teams is they have been playing in a lot of tournaments against a lot of bigger schools. They have been competing in these tournaments but some of the bounces just are not going their way and they suffered some tough losses.

Now the break is coming up, so I expected some rough play from some of the teams because they have finals or midterms in their classes. That alone can be mentally exhausting because while they are athletes, they are also students and want to succeed on and off the court.

But they are also playing some larger schools and some tougher competition to get ready for the second half of the season. So the break is coming at a perfect time for both the Wildcats and Ladycats.

They get a chance to kind of reset mentally decompress and step away from the game and their schoolwork for a bit. So now when they come back, they are mentally and physically rested and ready to go and now they have a ton of film against some tough teams so when they get back, they are ready to break down the film and take on their district schedule.

Playing those bigger schools can only help the Wildcats and Ladycats and the holiday break is just what the doctor ordered because I think they will return to form and hit the ground running in 2024.
