Partygoers enjoyed wonderful food and so much fun visiting with each other and with Santa Claus at the garden club’s Christmas Tasting Luncheon.
There were wonderful gifts in the Mistletoe Sack Drawing, luxurious items in the Silent Auction, and the grand prize Scholarship Quilt Drawing brought many holiday party goers to the Columbus Garden Club Christmas Tasting Luncheon last week.
The Scholarship Quilt was sewn by Sharon Heimann and was won by Regena Williamson. Funds collected from the items in the Silent Auction went to different charitable organizations that are supported by the garden club and to the funds of the Columbus Garden Club.
The garden club works hard all year maintaining garden areas around town and encouraging members of the club and the community to learn and enjoy more about gardening.
The new year continues with educational speakers at their monthly meetings, encouraging “A More Beautiful Community”, and supporting the youth in the community with the annual scholarships.
