EAGLE LAKE — The residents of Eagle Lake got to see the streets of their downtown area lit up as the town held its Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Several organizations, businesses and schools participated with floats as the city showed off its pride in a celebration of the holidays. The entries in the parade were widely varied with traditional floats, exotic vehicles and emergency vehicles all representing the holiday spirit in Eagle Lake.
Santa was also in attendance at the parade, and children got their opportunity to take a photo with St. Nick following the parade.
The parade was part of several holiday events in Eagle Lake. It directly followed the celebratory Christmas Tree Lighting event that occurred the week prior. The tree and the downtown area will continue to stay lit throughout the holiday season.
