WEIMAR — Residents of Weimar and nearby areas got the opportunity to visit with many of the churches in the town as they each participated in the Weimar Christmas Church Open House on Saturday, Dec. 9 as every church prepared their halls for the Christmas holiday.
The event spanned from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as attendees got the opportunity to see a new church every hour. Residents enjoyed snacks and refreshments as they toured each of the religious establishments in Weimar. Those in attendance also got to watch a Christmas concert by Kist by GRACE as part of the holiday festivities.
The day began with the African American Methodist Episcopal Church at 410 St. Andrews before moving to Cathedral Oaks at 1225 CR 248 at noon. Trinity Church hosted tour guests at 1 p.m. at 1985 FM 155 before Equippers Outreach Church at 200 N. College St. Took over the proceedings at 2 p.m. Weimar United Church invited guests over at 403 W Main St. at 3 p.m. before Faith Lutheran Church hosted the Christmas Concert with Kist by GRACE at 4 p.m. at Worship Center 615 South Eagle St. The day concluded with refreshments at Faith Lutheran at 5 p.m. with Santa before First United Methodist Church took over at 6 p.m. at 301 W St. Charles St. to finish the event.
