The Ladycats started off strong with back-to-back wins over Schulenburg and Sacred Heart then lost back-to-back games to Lexington and Moulton.

Vs. Schulenburg, W, 40 25

The Ladycats continued to buzz on the court and with that they were able to secure their first won of the tournament.

@ Sacred Heart, W, 50-17

The Ladycats followed that performance up with a hug win over Sacred heart where they controlled the pace of play on both ends of the floor.

The Ladycats defense overwhelmed Sacred Heart’s offense and limited their scoring opportunities. The stout defense led to several opportunities on offense for the Ladycats and they capitalized on them.

The Ladycats again were able to build a strong lead because of this type of play. They cruised to their second win of the tournament, but they had two very tough teams left to play.

Vs. Lexington, L, 48-39

The Ladycats were handed their first loss of the tournament by the Lexington Eagles.

The Eagles and Ladycats engaged in a battle on the court with both teams scratching and clawing their way to score points. Defensively the two teams were ready to attack the basket for rebounds as well as shutting down any attempts the other made towards the basket.

The Eagles were able to string some points together in the second half to extend their lead and effectively close out the game to give the Ladycats their first loss of the tournament.

@ Moulton, L, 38-30

The Ladycats final matchup came against hosting Moulton and fell just short of completing the comeback.
