Yesterday, St. Anthony 7th graders travelled to San Antonio to “remember the Alamo” while the 8th grade made their way underground to experience Natural Bridge Caverns. Tomorrow, the 2nd and 3rd grade will take a trip to Houston’s Main Street Theatre to watch a production of “Beauty and the Beast.” Speaking of productions, the St. Anthony One-Act Play cast has begun learning their lines and getting into character.

St. Anthony School’s entry in the Columbus Lighted Christmas Parade won Best Overall Entry last week. St. Anthony Ambassadors represented the school dressed as Elves at Santa’s Workshop and Christmas Tree Farm. “Jesus is the Reason for the Season” graced the back of the float, reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas.

St. Anthony W.A.T.C.H. Dogs have been busy volunteering around campus. St. Anthony dads Robert Parry and Luke Schobel recently donated their time by visiting with students, patrolling campus, assisting at morning drop off and helping with lunch duty in the cafeteria.

The boys A basketball team will participate in the Sacred Heart tournament this coming weekend and on Dec. 11 the Lady Saints B team will travel to Fayetteville for a matchup.

Games scheduled for Dec. 7 against Faith Academy are cancelled.

The weekly Children’s mass will be held Friday Dec. 10 at 8:15 a.m. The St. Anthony PTC will hold a meeting on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. and will include cookies with Santa.
