The Weimar Ladycats lost all four of their games they played at the Little River Academy Tournament.

The Ladycats played Little River Academy, Bosqueville, Rogers and Milano.

@ LRA, L, 61-27

The Ladycats took on the host of the tournament in game one and Little River defended homecourt well.

The Ladycats offense has been off to a fantastic start this season scoring at will in all of their games. Little River was ready for them and executed a great defensive game plan to hold the Ladycats to only 27 points.

This was the worst loss the Ladycats had all season long and looked to get back on track in game two.

@ Bosqueville, L, 55-40

The Ladycats came back in game two with a fire in their belly ready to prove that the first game is not who they are.

They found their game quickly and began scoring a little more effectively to start the game. Bosqueville was also up to the task and took the game right to the Ladycats and the teams traded leads throughout the game.

Bosqueville began extending their lead later in the game, but the Ladycats stayed determined and kept things close as the final buzzer neared.

The Ladycats did everything they could but came up just short against Bosqueville and set their sights on game number three.

@ Rogers, L, 48-27

The Ladycats’ offense was again held in check during the tournament against Rogers.

They scored 27 points while Rogers took the game right to them early and established a lead and sucked all the momentum the Ladycats were starting to build away. The Ladycats’ offense was frustrated during the game but playing against a bigger school that is to be expected.

Rogers is a bigger school than Weimar but that did not phase the Ladycats because despite not being able to score against a larger school they still competed and did not back down. They knew struggles would come when playing against bigger schools but they are looking at the big picture and how much it will benefit them in the long run.

@ Milano, L, 35-23

The Ladycats had their best game of the tournament during the last game of the tournament.

The Ladycats defense started to piece things together and started to pressure Millano’s offense and forced several turnovers to try to spark their offense.

The Ladycats began to get some momentum and shots started to fall for them. They kept things close and almost completed the comeback but unfortunately ran out of time before that could happen.

The Ladycats now set their sights on the Lexington Eagles who they play on Friday, Dec. 8, on the road looking to get back in the win column.
