Noah’s Ark hosts professional vocalist for Christmas Friday Night Live

COLUMBUS – The Christmas edition of Friday Night Live hosted by Noah’s Ark Coffee House will feature a longtime singer as its main performer on Dec. 8. Dorceal Duckens has been singing since being discovered by Prairie View A&M music professor Robert Henry who founded the Houston Ebony Opera Guild in 1983.

COLUMBUS — The Christmas edition of Friday Night Live hosted by Noah’s Ark Coffee House will feature a longtime singer as its main performer on Dec. 8. Dorceal Duckens has been singing since being discovered by Prairie View A&M music professor Robert Henry who founded the Houston Ebony Opera Guild in 1983.

Duckens has been singing professionally with the group from its inception, intertwining his own professional career with the group. The Houston Ebony Opera Guild has played a large part in his singing career as he has continued to perform with the group even in his older age. Duckens will be the featured performer at Friday Night Live at Noah’s Ark Coffee House at 816 Wallace St. At 7 p.m. on Dec. 8. The event will feature Christmas music during Duckens’s performance. Attendance is free to the public, but donations are accepted to assist with further operations at the coffee shop.
