In a heartwarming display of generosity and compassion, the Faith Academy Families came together to collect over 117 Operation Christmas Child boxes, bringing joy and hope to children in need around the world. The National Junior Honor Society hosted the collection at Faith Academy.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, aims to bring the joy of Christmas to children in desperate situations through gift-filled shoeboxes and good news of God’s love. These simple gifts are the tangible expression of God’s love for children in need around the world.

The NJHS students at Faith Academy took on the challenge of collecting as many gift-filled shoeboxes as possible, and their efforts surpassed all last year’s collection. The JH commons was transformed into a collection and filling station with several students sacrificing their personal time to help make Christmas a little happier for those in need. “I am incredibly proud of our NJHS members for their dedication and enthusiasm in supporting such a meaningful cause,” said Mrs. Woodley, NJHS Advisor.

As the 117 Operation Christmas Child boxes were getting ready for transfer, the entire JH student body and staff circled the boxes and prayed for the children who will be receiving them this Christmas season. These boxes and prayers will undoubtedly make a difference in the lives of countless children who will receive these special gifts. The boxes were then transported to St. John’s Lutheran Church collection site.
