We just finished up the annual and traditional time of Thanksgiving with family, friends, helping, giving, listening, and encouraging. I hope we all found moments of joy and spent some parts of the day giving thanks, not just in our hearts, but to those we shared time with. People bring a richness to our lives that adds a special value we might overlook whether that is through a personal relationship, a casual one, work related, or something of an abstract. If you missed someone, it is never too late to give a simple thank you.
Pervasive through town is news of the Ladies Night Out happening Dec. 7! Be sure to come by the office and pre-purchase your wine glass and pick up a Santa Bingo card — which started Nov. 25, so don’t wait! Janet and Shelley have been working diligently on the Ladies Night Out and the Christmas parade we just enjoyed Tuesday, Nov. 28th.
Did you participate?
Send us your feedback on Facebook. Many thanks to the County for setting up the Christmas tree in Courthouse Square.

This was mentioned last month, but worth repeating is that on Jan. 17, 2024, the Chamber is partnering with Columbus High School on a Career Fair for grades 9th-12th. Introducing students to businesses and businesses to students to help students identify various career options right here in their home area, as employers identify a potential workforce. Contact me (Becky Nutt) to discuss how you can be a part of this important project: [email protected] or call 979-732- 8385.
Thanks go to each of you for: participating in your community, helping your friends and family, smiling, giving out a kind and thoughtful word, and for being “there.” Thank you!
