Boys and Girls Club learn to make spaghetti and meatballs

On Monday, Nov. 20, The Girl Friends group at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus had a pre-Thanksgiving cooking lesson from Chef Raoul of Chef Raoul’s Catering. The chef and the girls prepared an Italian dinner complete with salad, cheese bread, spaghetti and meatballs and finished with a dessert of cannelloni.

On Monday, Nov. 20, The Girl Friends group at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus had a pre-Thanksgiving cooking lesson from Chef Raoul of Chef Raoul’s Catering. The chef and the girls prepared an Italian dinner complete with salad, cheese bread, spaghetti and meatballs and finished with a dessert of cannelloni.

The Girl Friends are third and fourth grade girls from the Columbus Boys and Girls Club who meet on a weekly basis with a group of volunteer Columbus women. The mission of the group is to introduce the girls to skills and experiences that will help them as they mature into confident women.

The Girl Friends group is funded by private donors and by the Columbus Lions Club.
