The Weimar Wildcats had a fantastic season on the gridiron and are being recognized because of their efforts this season.

The Wildcats had eight players named to the offensive all-district team and 11 players named to the defensive all-district team.

Starting with the offense, Weston Pavlik was named the offensive lineman of the year and was a part of the 1st All-District team along with fellow lineman Manny Gaytan. The two linemen were a big part of the Wildcats’ offense this season opening countless holes for their potent rushing attack to exploit.

This was just the start of the offensive players on the All-District team for the Wildcats though.

Huxton Kloesel, Wyatt Lacina, Zach Norrell and Brendan Brandt were all named to the 2nd All-District team. These four were in the middle of every drive and score the Wildcats recorded this season and took this team to heights they did not think they could reach.

All four of them made big plays throughout the season and definitely earned their spot on the All-District roster.

A couple of honorable mentions for the Offensive All-District team were Dreylon McMillian, Drew Montgomery and Kaden Zinnante. McMillian and Montgomery were very reliable safety valves for the Wildcats offense as they were always open when Kloesel would get in trouble.

Zinnante was a part of that stout offensive front the Wildcats had and contributed in ways a lot of people did not see.

Montgomery earned another award after being an Honorable Mention for offense. He was named the Defensive Newcomer of the Year.

This was just the tip of the iceberg though when it comes to Wildcats on the Defensive All-District team. On defense the Wildcats had five players named to the 1st All-District team five of which were on the 1st team.

Lacina, Pavlik and Norrell each earned a spot on the 1st All-District team along with Ethan Stech and Jerron Fisher. All five of these players played a big role of the Wildcats’ defense as they were one of the top units in the district thanks to them.

Ja’Braelin Thomas, Juan Hernandez and Kloesel made up the 2nd All-District defensive team. They complimented the guys on the 1st All-District team well only adding to the greatness that this defense was.

Honorable mentions for the Defensive All-District team were Koda Pantalion and Marcus Catillo to cap off the All-District roster.

Congratulations to all the players named to the All-District team and congratulations to the Wildcats on a great 2023 season.
