The Rice Lady Raiders played two games this past week and are still on the hunt for their first win.

The Lady Raiders lost both their games this past week but each game they play they are inching closer and closer to victory.

@ Ganado, L, 27-26

The Lady Raiders started the week in heartbreaking fashion by losing by one point. The game was as close as the score suggested with both defenses coming out making plays.

Offense was scarce in this game, but the Lady Raiders were in it the whole time and played till the final whistle. Whenever Ganado scored the Lady Raiders responded and always stayed within striking distance to recapture the lead.

The defenses stood tall all game long and cleared away any scoring chance the other may have so when offensive opportunities arose, they tried to take advantage. As the game moved along the Lady Raiders continued to execute their game plan.

But Ganado had just enough left in the take and barely edged out the Lady Raiders 27-26. The Lady Raiders had to put that game behind them though because they had a game against Louise the next day they had to prepare for.

@ Louise, L, 33-23

Playing the second of back-to-back games the Lady Raiders were battling fatigue but despite being tired they took the game right to Lousie.

The Lady Raiders hold the reputation of being resilient despite any odds placed in front of them. They came out against Louise ready to scratch and claw for every loose ball and rebound to try to get their team a win.

The Lady Raiders fell behind early in the game and had a late surge to try to complete the comeback. They gave everything they had but came up just short before the final buzzer sounded.

The Lady Raiders used the Thanksgiving holiday to help recover from their back-to-back games and now shift focus to their game against the Bruceville- Eddy Eagles on Thursday, Nov. 30, looking to secure their first win.
