Officers promoted at EL City Council

EAGLE LAKE – The Police Department looks slightly different as several officers were promoted to a new rank at the recent City Council meeting on Nov. 14. The department also welcomed a new member to their forces during the council meeting as well.

Chief Donald Chaney recognized the promotions of three officers with the department. Officers Patrick Gonzales and Eliut Lopez received promotions to the position of Sergeant. Officer Dustin Blackburn also received a promotion to the position of Investigator. Their promotions came at a high recommendation from Chaney as he credited their attitudes and willingness to work through difficult situations.

The department also welcomed a new member to the force as Mayor Tim Kelley swore in new officer Kierra Jones into the ranks of the growing department.
