HOUSTON – A few Colorado County 4-H members had some strong outings at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Archery Competition on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. The 4-H archery club had several of their competitors finish in top-5 spots, and each of their participants finished in the top six of their respective competitions.
Colorado County 4-H got a few strong placements from the senior division at the archery competition.
Keegan Grissom had the top placement of all Colorado County participants with third place in the Senior Compound competition. William Gonzales had the next-highest placement with a fourthplace finish in the Senior NASP competition.
The junior division was also a source of success for the county 4-Hers as they took more top placements after their respective performances.
Emily Sternadel took on the Junior Compound bow competition and took fifth place for her efforts. Chloe Brandt competed in the Junior Recurve bow before coming away with the sixth-place spot.
