The local chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) donated Texas history items to the St. Michael’s Catholic Church School on Oct. 18. Nancy Koehl, Librarian, was on hand to receive the books and other documents from Donna Pustejovsky, Vice President of the Dilue Rose Harris chapter. Donated items included: Texas Declaration of Independence Col. Travis’ letter asking for assistance to the Alamo Handbill, “A call to arms to the people of Texas!”

This will provide reference materials for the 7th graders who participate in the DRT Essay Contest coming up in January 2024.
