In light of the upcoming election that is currently in the early voting cycle, Nov. 6 will be somewhat of a holiday as the county celebrates Election Hero Day: a day of action to recognize and thank election workers across the county for their tireless efforts to keep democracy running.
They deserve an expression of gratitude. Election workers and volunteers have a tough job. These critical members of local communities work hard to ensure that voters will be able to cast their ballots safely and successfully in 2023 - often working upwards of 18-hour days to make this election possible.

As the county gets ready to vote in vital local and statewide elections, voters are encouraged to make a plan to vote and to say thanks to any election hero they pass when casting their ballots.
