COLUMBUS – The Columbus, TX Pride organization successfully hosted a Pride event in the Schneider Hall on Oct. 7. Pride’s goal was to provide the LGBTQ+ community with a safe space of celebration inside of the rural areas they call home.

Receiving donations from several sponsors and donors, the community participated in a full night celebration of pride in their identity. Attendees had the opportunity to purchase alcoholic beverages provided by Hound Song Brewing Company and Loblolly Cellars. Low Tide/Harold’s Restaurant provided some of the food from the mobile truck on site.

The organization will look to continue providing events and a comfortable space for the local community to “celebrate the love and diversity” inside of the local towns in the area.
