CICERO HOWARD REMEMBERED AT PRAIRIE EDGE MUSEUM

The Prairie Edge Museum hosted the historic dedication for Cicero Howard, an African American man who came to Eagle Lake with a Union Civil War Veteran and served as a foreman for the veteran’s farm in Eagle Lake. He became the first African American elected official in Eagle Lake and was reelected to be a County Commissioner seven different times.
