Early release for CISD schools

Each school in the Columbus Independent will be releasing from the school day early on Oct. 13 in preparation for the Columbus varsity football game away from home against Hitchcock. Students will get home around three hours earlier than normal to accommodate for those travelling for the game.

Columbus Elementary School will release at 12:20 p.m., three hours earlier than usual. Columbus Junior High Riverside will also release at 12:20 p.m. with the elementary school. Columbus High School will release not long after their counterparts, ending their day at 12:36 after shorter class periods throughout the day.
