After the recent rainfall in the area, County Judge Ty Prause and the Commissioners officially ordered to rescind the county burn ban that was first enacted on July 24.
Due to the dry conditions as well as a record-breaking summer heat, the Order was enacted to restrict outdoor burning to prevent the risk of grass, structural and brush fires that further stretched the forces of the community fire departments.
The new order rescinding the burn ban was officially signed by Prause on Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. after a full night of stormy conditions and heavy rainfall.
