Vs Hallettsville, W, 5-0 Columbus had everything working against Hallettsville as they took the big victory on Monday. Rebecca Del Pozo started the scoring in the 15th minute followed by Scarlett McClelland in the 30th minute to create an early lead. Karina Rubio scored on a penalty kick in the second half after a whistle in the penalty area, and Savannah Danial scored another goal with 10 minutes remaining in the game. The Brahmettes scored an own goal to bring the scoreline to its final margin.

Goalie Lexi Ybarra finished with four saves in front of goal.

Vs Palacios, L, 0-0 (4-3 PKs) The Lady Cards’ weekend game came with much less success on the offensive end than they had achieved earlier in the week. They were held scoreless and needed a strong performance from Lexi Ybarra to keep things close. She finished with five saves including a penalty kick save with just around five minutes left in the game. After regulation ended with a scoreless tie, the game went into a penalty shootout as the two teams traded goals. Eventually the Lady Cards could not respond, and they fell in the shootout by a 4-3 margin.
