First National Bank of Eagle Lake promotes Sedlock to president

EAGLE LAKE – The First National Bank of Eagle Lake announced the promotion of Leslie Sedlock to the position of President on Oct. 1.

EAGLE LAKE – The First National Bank of Eagle Lake announced the promotion of Leslie Sedlock to the position of President on Oct. 1.

Sedlock has been with FNB for more than 13 years, serving as Executive Vice President, Comptroller and Chief Operations Officer as well as Secretary of the board of directors.

“I’m excited to lead the First National Bank of Eagle Lake along with our CEO Sam Kana. We have an amazing team,” Sedlock said, “We want to continue to be the community bank of choice, in the markets we serve. Right here, where I was raised.”

Sedlock joined FNB in 2010 as Executive Assistant to the President/CEO. In 2012, she became Vice President, and in 2013 she became Senior Vice President and a member of the Executive Management Team. In 2019, she became Executive Vice President. Sedlock started her banking career right out of college at NewFirst National Bank in El Campo where she worked for almost four years as an Accounting Specialist. “The promotion of such a talented and proven individual such as Leslie, lays a pathway to a stable and profitable future for the Bank,” CEO Kana said.

Leslie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University, Class of 2006. She is a 2012 graduate of IBAT’s Bank Operations Institute and Class Five graduate of TBA’s Management Development Program.

Sedlock was Salutatorian of her graduating class from Rice Consolidated High School in 2003. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Independent Bankers Association of Texas.

Sedlock was raised in Garwood, Texas where she currently lives with her husband James, and their son Jase.
