John Kohleffel, a third generation Texas State Game Warden spoke with the Weimar Lions Club on Tuesday Sept. 19.

He recently was awarded the Texas Parks and Wildlife “Community Outreach” award for the year in August. He highly recommended that all hunters get the mobile app OutdoorAnnual.com — as a convenient and secure location to maintain and manage your Texas hunting and fishing licenses.

This App refreshes on Sept. 1 annually and will help keep you informed of any regulation changes as well. The Texas Hunter Harvest App is also recommended for required record keeping and verifications.

He stated that the very preliminary outlook at fall white tail deer season is promising with bigger and better sightings so far.
