COLUMBUS — Come help your neighbors take a bite out of crime during National Night Out Tuesday, Oct. 3, local organizers said.
The annual event bringing the community together to fight lawbreaking will be 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 Veterans Drive. In addition to free hot dogs and cold drinks, attendees will meet local law-enforcement officers, game wardens, Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel, firefighters, paramedics, Scouts and more, planners said.
Fun activities include face painting, balloons and more, with music provided by the St. Paul Praise Band.
Bring your lawn chair and join the fun, planners said.
The community-building campaign, which nationally debuted August 1984, builds neighborhood-police partnerships, according to a release.
