They had a stretch of tough outings in these games as they failed to pick up a single win against their opponents. The Wildcats ran into some defensive struggles in the first day of competition before encountering some issues on the other side of the ball on the second day of the tournament.

Vs Lexington, L, 72-42

Weimar had their most difficult game of the tournament against Lexington, taking their biggest loss and allowing an opponent to score over 70 points for the second time this season. The Wildcats were not able to find any success in stopping Lexington’s momentum on the scoreboard. Eventually, the Wildcats dug a hole they would not be able to climb out of as Lexington held on to a large lead for most of the game. Despite their difficulties on the defensive end, Weimar had their best game of the tournament on the offensive side of the ball. The 42 points scored against Lexington marked their highest point total of the tournament.

Vs Bellville, L, 33-57

The Wildcats’ success on the offensive side of the ball took a slight drop off in their next game, which did not make their continued struggles on the defensive end any easier to cover. Bellville found ways to score at every level as they maintained a safe lead for a large portion of the game. This game marked Weimar’s second- highest, single-game total of the tournament. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they faced a steep drop off to start the second day of the tournament and could not make a significant recovery in the following game.

Vs Cuero, L, 25-49

The Wildcats had one of their poorest offensive outputs of the season to start the second day of competition. Their 25 points scored marked the second-lowest total of the season, beaten only by a 20-point performance in Weimar’s first action of the season. The Wildcats could not get anything to fall, and even their usual offense that they can rely on deserted them in the difficult loss. They did just enough to prevent their opponents from reaching the 50-point mark, but it was not nearly enough to make the game competitive as they had several mistakes on both sides of the ball.

Vs Giddings, L, 32-43

The tournament finished on a tough note for the Wildcats despite their increased success on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. They scored over 30 points while holding Giddings to less than 45 points on defense.
