FRIDAY, JUNE 23

FRIDAY, JUNE 23

At approximately 10:37 a.m., Robert Villanueva was dispatched to a call in reference to Fraud. After further investigation, it was determined that a bank account had been accessed, and money had been withdrawn. The case is active.

At approximately 11:01 p.m., Frankie Cantu was dispatched to Lyle Road in Alleyton in reference to a 911 hangup which subsequently resulted in a domestic violence investigation. After further investigation, Gary Liu, 60, of Alleyton, was arrested for family violence assault and interfere with emergency phone call. Case cleared by arrest.

SATURDAY, JUNE 24

At approximately 2:09 p.m., Robert Villanueva was dispatched to a call in reference to a stolen trailer. The trailer was entered into the State and National database as stolen. Case will be inactive until additional leads can be developed.

At approximately 1:03 p.m., Robert Villanueva was dispatched to the 1100 block of Cummins Creek in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving two juveniles on a 4-wheeler. The two juveniles were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. One was airlifted to Memorial Herman downtown and the other taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Katy. Case cleared; information only.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., Benjamin Melendez responded to the 1000 block of Flower Hill Road in reference to damaged property. The property owner stated she discovered damage to her fence which occurred on this date by an unknown person(s). Further investigation revealed the fence could have possibly been damaged by livestock. Case will be cleared unless other information can be developed.

At approximately 11:03 p.m., Benjamin Melendez responded to the 300 block of S Eagle Street in Weimar in reference to an assault that occurred in the 1100 block of FM 155 N outside of the city limits. After further investigation, Michael Sharp, 39, of Weimar, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. Case cleared by arrest.

SUNDAY, JUNE 25

At approximately 8:51 a.m., Robert Villanueva was dispatched to a public service in reference to an incident that occurred at Pine Cove. After further investigation, the complainant only requested documentation and did not wish to pursue charges. Case cleared by report.

At approximately 10:18 a.m., Ryan Ohl was dispatched to the 1100 block of Trails End Road in Weimar regarding a possible theft. The victim reported that a small safe was taken from the property. Case is pending further investigation.

At approximately 5:39 a.m., Benjamin Melendez responded to the 5900 block of Avenue F in Sheridan in reference to criminal trespass. The reporting party advised it appears unknown person(s) entered the property without knowledge or consent. Case will be inactive until additional leads can be developed.

At approximately 9:23 p.m., Tomas Ramirez was advised of a patient that had walked out of the Rice Medical Center. The Eagle Lake Police Department had previously searched the area and was unable to locate the patient. The Sheriff’s Office was later notified and assisted in searching for the patient, who was located in the area and transported back to Rice Medical Center for evaluation. Case cleared by agency assist.

At approximately 10:01 a.m., Robert Villanueva was dispatched to the 3700 block of FM 109 in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, one subject was issued a criminal trespass warning. Case cleared.

MONDAY, JUNE 26

At approximately 6:53 a.m., Santa Nino was dispatched to Hwy 90 and Old Hwy 90 in reference to a female walking around nude. After further investigation, Amy Lynn Johnson, 37, of Columbus, was arrested for public intoxication. Case cleared by arrest.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27

At approximately 9:28 a.m., Santa Nino was dispatched to Dollar General in Garwood in reference to a theft. The case will inactive until any leads can be developed.

At approximately 10:07 a.m., Randy Mican was dispatched to the Columbus Medical Clinic in reference to a dog bite that occurred on CR 212 near Weimar. The owner was bitten by his own dog. The owner was treated and had the dog examined at the Oak Grove Veterinary Clinic. Case cleared.

Wednesday, June 28 At approximately 1:15 p.m., Andrew Weido met with a complainant from Weimar at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to an unauthorized person breaching a business website. Case is pending further investigation.

Thursday, June 29 At approximately 8:16 p.m., Frankie Cantu was dispatched to Connor Crossing in reference to Criminal Trespass of a Habitation. The suspect was identified. Case is pending issuance of warrant and apprehension.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Frankie Cantu was dispatched to CR 201 in Weimar in reference to a burglary of a Habitation.

FRIDAY, JUNE 30

At approximately, 10:57 p.m., the Columbus Police Department responded to the 100 block of Oak Cluster in reference to a woman running nude in the streets. Andrew Lopez assisted the police department in searching for the subject. We learned the female subject went to Connor Crossing out of the county. The subject was determined to be on the property without permission from the owner. After further investigation, Amy Lynn Johnson, 37, of Columbus, was arrested for criminal trespass of a habitation. Case cleared.

SATURDAY, JULY 1

At approximately 4:12 p.m., Santa Nino was dispatched to CR 2103 in Weimar in reference to property damage. After further investigation, the situation was resolved as a civil matter. Case cleared.

At approximately 9:20 a.m., Santa Nino was dispatched to FM 102 and FM 950 in reference to a motor vehicle crash into a private property. The case will be inactive until additional information to identify the driver can be established.

At approximately 5:39 p.m., Erick Johnson was dispatched to the 1600 block of Smith Rau Road in Columbus in reference to a suspicious vehicle call. During the investigation, Jerimy Duane Carlson, 45, of Bastrop, was arrested for failure to identify fugitive from justice. Carlson was also arrested for multiple outstanding warrants issued in Fayette and Bastrop counties. Additionally, more information surfaced that led to a search warrant and the recovery of methamphetamine from the vehicle. The case is currently pending additional charges of possession of a controlled substance for Carlson, along with a passenger, identified as Michelle Lee Smith, 38, of Elgin. Once the warrants are issued, an attempt to apprehend them will be conducted.

SUNDAY, JULY 2

At approximately 1:03 p.m., Zane Blaha was dispatched to Fannin Street in Columbus in reference to assisting another office. After further investigation, Richard Hernandaz, 55, of Columbus, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, 3rd or more. Case cleared by arrest.

At approximately 2:24 a.m., Erick Johnson was dispatched to Canal Street in Garwood in reference to a death investigation. Justice of the Peace Pct.1, Billy Hefner, arrived at the Rice Medical Center to conduct an inquest. After further investigation, the manner of death was determined to be natural.

At approximately 7:34 a.m., Randy Mican was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 112 in reference to a wrecked vehicle in the ditch. The vehicle was left abandoned at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Fernandez Wrecker Service. Case cleared by report.
