Beef and forage committee sets educational program

COLUMBUS – The Colorado County Beef and Forage Committee is hosting its five-hour CEU educational program to benefit TDA pesticide applicators.

COLUMBUS — The Colorado County Beef and Forage Committee is hosting its five-hour CEU educational program to benefit TDA pesticide applicators.

The program is set for Feb. 17 at the Colorado County Fairgrounds HE Building, 1146 Crossroads Blvd., and will cover topics including livestock diseases, insects, parasites and their control, grassbur control in pastures and hayfields, TDA laws and regulations update, range and pasture update, and picolinic acid training.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. A catered BBQ lunch will be served. Preregister by Feb. 15 to pay $30 per person. Registration at the door is $35.
