Brewers end Vets season

The Vets traveled to Sealy to face the Brewers in the semifinals of the playoffs. The Brewers jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never looked back.

The Vets traveled to Sealy to face the Brewers in the semifinals of the playoffs. The Brewers jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never looked back.

They scored runs in the sixth and the seventh to end the game for a final score of 12-2.

Offensive leaders: Josh Morgan- 3 singles, RBI; Ryker Goehring- single, RBI; Zane Ponder- single, 2 walks; Clay Barton- double, run; Zak Kunz- walk, run.

Defensive standouts: Clay Barton, Alex Angerstein, Trey Daniels, Ryker Goehring, Cody Barrett, Kobi Valchar.

A great big thanks to the fans who supported the team Sunday and the entire season. Thanks to all sponsors who generously contributed to make this season a success.

The championship will be played between the Austin County Brewers and the Shiner Clippers.
