EAGLE LAKE — A dinner and auction to benefit the Eula & David Wintermann Library is set for Sept. 23 at the Community Center, officials said.

Patrons will help the library continue providing the “Magic of New Books,” the Summer Reading Program, the free use of computers and other services, organizers said.

The Library Dinner and Auction is sponsored by the Eagle Lake Friends of the Library.

A Lesley Matthews Carey painting of Venetian gondolas across the bay from Saint Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy, will be offered.

Auctioneer Todd Krenek will handle the bidding.

Tickets for the dinner are $12 and a raffle is $20. The Community Center is at 100 N. Walnut Ave.

The tickets will soon be available for purchase at the library, 101 N. Walnut, or from any Friends of the Library member.

The library can be reached at 979-234-5411.
