During their meeting on July 25, the Columbus Rotary Club welcomed Becky Nutt, sponsored by Cynthia Alley and presented by new President Rusty Theut. They also welcomed Boys State sponsored students Javier Mendoza and Carson Beettner with VFW representative and program coordinator Herb Fish. Boys State is for a select group of incoming seniors to go to Austin and learn about state government and participate in mock government activities, according to a release.
