Turtle Wing Foundation gets grant from Texas Mutual

The Turtle Wing Foundation was recently granted $25,000 from Texas Mutual to be used for therapeutic, educational, and recreational scholarships for those with learning challenges in the rural area.

The Turtle Wing Foundation was recently granted $25,000 from Texas Mutual to be used for therapeutic, educational, and recreational scholarships for those with learning challenges in the rural area.

The funds will be used to directly fund services, ranging from speech therapy to tutoring to inclusive dance, for those whose families may not be able otherwise to afford the services, according to a release. The grant was part of the Texas Mutual generational learning grant program.

Turtle Wing is one of three central Texas nonprofits to receive a grant from Texas Mutal.

Turtle Wing Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of “helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential by providing access to a shared network of emotional, educational, and therapeutic resources,” according to a release.

Turtle Wing relies on the generosity of others to continue serving as a resources hub, connecting families who have children with learning challenges with the much-needed services in our rural area, creating new opportunities, and helping families with the expense of these programs, according to a spokesperson for Turtle Wing.
