Industry State Bank Supports Columbus Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club of America supports youth development by providing young people with the knowledge, skills, and encouragement they need to achieve their dreams and succeed in life. On Friday, July 28, several employees from Industry State Bank visited the Columbus Boys and Girls Club, which serves youth, ages 6 through 18, during the summer and after school. To assist the Boys and Girls Club in their endeavors, the employees presented a financial education program, which included information about banking, money, income, expenses, and wants versus needs. They also read a story about money, had piggy bank races, and played a “Money Smart” board game with the students to help them develop the financial knowledge and tools they need to make informed and successful financial decisions.

The bank also teamed up with the Columbus Lions Club to help with the Boys & Girls Club program. The Lions braved the hot weather, grilled their famous hamburgers, and served them, along with chips and water, for all of the students. Around 60-70 youth were in attendance that day and received benefit from the presentation and meal.
