Feathers, Furs, and Farming program set for Aug. 11

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Austin and Colorado counties are partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to host a Feathers, Furs, and Farming program on Aug. 11 centered around advice on public and private hunting lands.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Austin and Colorado counties are partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to host a Feathers, Furs, and Farming program on Aug. 11 centered around advice on public and private hunting lands.

The event will be held at the Weimar Civic Center located at 1754 IH-10, Weimar. Registration will be from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program will start at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Cost of attendance is $20 per person or $15 per couple.

Topics covered will include: Hunting Safety and Laws; Navigating Hunting Leases – Do’s and Don’ts; Public Hunting Opportunities in Texas; and Ask the Game Warden.

Speakers include individuals from Texas Parks and Wildlife, a practicing attorney with a passion for helping landowners navigate hunting leases, and a local game warden. For the session on “ask the game warden,” the extension office encourages attendees to submit their questions to either the Austin or Colorado County Extension office prior to the event.
