FRELSBURG – The parishioners of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church invite the public to their Country Festival on Sunday, Aug. 6 on the church grounds, 1031 Church Lane.
The day will begin with the Rev. Robert E. (Bob) Knippenberg, V.F., celebrating Holy Mass at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Traditional Latin Mass at 10:30 a.m.
The church said Frelsburg’s famous fried fish meal of fried fish, buttered potatoes, hush puppies, coleslaw, pinto beans, bread, pickles, and tea will be available by dine-in or drive thru. Dine in will begin at 11 a.m. Meal tickets will be $15 and $10 for kids 12 and under. Those who would like to take their plate to go can pick theirs up starting at 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. for $15.
The country live auction starts at 1 p.m., featuring homemade foods and handmade items. The day’s events will also feature a cake walk, country store, religious articles, kids’ games, and bingo in the AC Dining Hall starting at 1 p.m. Hamburgers, nachos, and snacks will be available after 3 p.m. The day concludes with a free dance featuring The Blue Denim Band after the auction.
