ST. JOHN’S COMMISSIONING SERVICE

At St. John’s Episcopal Church, Columbus, Roger Olier was commissioned as a lay preacher. He has just completed a one-year lay preaching program at Iona School of Ministry, enabling him to receive a lay preaching license. Feeling called to stay and serve in Columbus, Olier said he will lead worship and preach at St. John’s regularly, supported by clergy in the area, as the congregation continues developing their missional community at Oak Bluff in partnership with the culinary students at the local high school.
