On Friday, June 16, at approximately 6 a.m., members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team and Texas Department of Public Safety SRT executed arrest and search warrants on two residences located in the 900 block of Fannin Street and 400 block of Malleck Street in Columbus, according to a release.
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office said the operation was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Westside (HIDTA) Narcotics Task Force. Task Force Officers had been investigating reports
of narcotics being distributed from residences, according to a release. Austin County reports that Rovin Denley,62, Darrel King, 44, and April Mingetti, 44, were arrested without incident.
A search of the residences resulted in the seizure of crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, ecstasy pills, marijuana, firearms, and United States Currency, according to a release. Austin County said charges filed on Denley and King also includes Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
The Westside Narcotics Task Force covers four counties and is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and DEA.
Austin County said the Colorado County Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation and the Waller County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Units and Colorado County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the warrant operation.
