Vets fall 7-1 to Jackrabbits

The Weimar Vets hosted the Serbin Jackrabbits on Sunday, June 18 at Strickland Field.

The Serbin pitcher held the Weimar bats in check, allowing only six hits, one run and walking three for a 7-1 Jackrabbit win. The Vets had a lot of hard-hit balls, but they could not find the holes.

The Vets got a stellar pitching performance by Ryker Goehring for five innings, keeping the Vets in the game after Serbin took a 6-0 lead. He had two strikeouts and allowed just three hits, three walks and one run in the ninth. Dusty Davis pitched four innings, striking out four batters with only two walks.
