WEIMAR – The Weimar VFW Auxiliary to Post 5875 held a regular meeting on June 13.
The Auxiliary said Charlene Muras read correspondence regarding art contest winners and a thank-you note from Jeanette Hoelscher. Charlene Muras reported that the Buddy Poppy Drive was very successful and thanks the community for their generosity in supporting our Veterans. The Auxiliary said Muras has order forms for purchasing Auxiliary shirts and patches, which are also available to purchase on-line at vfw.org.
The Charter was draped in memory of member Gladys Rau who passed away on Jan. 8.
For the Good of the Order, Jeanette Koenig reminded members to fly the U.S. flag on Flag Day June 14, on Father’s Day June 18, and on Independence Day July 4.
The next meeting will be 6 p.m. July 11 at the Weimar VFW Hall kitchen.
