A More Beautiful Community

National Garden Week was observed this year beginning with proclamation signings at a City Council Meeting and at County Commissioners Court on May 22. Then, garden club ladies met on Wednesday, June 7 and arranged brightly colored flowers in vases to be delivered throughout Columbus. Arrangements were del ivered to county and city offices, Columbus Chamber of Commerce offices, Columbus Community Hospital, senior care facilities and elderly residents, businesses around town, and to the newspapers in appreciation for all they do in our beautiful community.

National Garden Clubs, Inc. encourages garden clubs across the country to celebrate National Garden Week by planning activities that bring attention to gardening and beautification of communities.
