The Weimar little league All-Stars 8U team had a strong performance against the little league girls from nearby Rice. The girls for Weimar got the jump on their local rivals after getting out to quick lead and holding onto it for the rest of game. Weimar ran out to a double-digit lead and eventually brought the game to an end with a 13-1 margin of victory.
The Weimar All-Stars got out to a big lead after holding Rice to a shutout for much of the game. They also found timely hits as they were able to get many base runners on board and bring them home with big hits. Hit after hit led to Weimar continuing to add to the lead. Rice broke the shutout with an in-the-park homerun that put their only run of the game on the scoreboard. Weimar held Rice scoreless for the rest of the game as the officials eventually called the game early for a run-rule victory.
