Schulman’s main event, the hurdles, has been an area that he has improved in every year since he arrived to College Station. Now in his junior year, Schulman took a huge jump with the quality of his performances. After finishing his season in the NCAA West Regionals Meet in each of the past two seasons, he finally broke through into the Championships after getting through the Regionals with one of his best outings of the season. He followed up with an even stronger performance during the first day of the National Championship Meet.

On June 7, Schulman took on the 110-meter hurdles at the Mike A. Myers stadium to give himself a chance to reach the Finals. He responded to the chance by having his career- best time, clocking in at 13.33 seconds which was first place in his heat and second place overall. Not only was the time his personal best, but it also secured his spot in A&M’s history as it marked the school’s second-best time in the 110-hurdles. After that strong performance in the first day of the competition, Schulman went on to place seventh in the National Championship Finals. Schulman enters his senior season for the Aggies with the momentum of a historical season this year.
