Discover Dinah Bowman’s fish prints and botanicals at ARTS Gorman Gallery, 1201 Kessler Ave., Schulenburg.

One of America’s foremost nature print artists, Dinah Bowman is an artist from Portland, Texas who has worked in Gyotaku, or fish printing, for more than 50 years, according to a release. Arts for Rural Texas said Bowman travels with research vessels and records fish in this ancient Japanese art form. According to a release, her work is found in the Smithsonian and on the walls of fishermen and fisherwomen worldwide.

Bowman’s Art of Gyotaku, “Following the Fish from Alaska to Amazon,” is the current gallery exhibit. The show will run from May 20July 8.

Amanda Danning, the artist liaison for ARTS, is a Columbus based forensic sculptor who has done work for the Smithsonian Institution, the Sam Houston Memorial Museum in Huntsville, and the Buffalo Solders National Museum in Houston, according to a release.

ARTS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich lives through art and art education with an emphasis on children’s programs. ARTS is headquartered in Fayetteville with galleries and classrooms in Fayetteville and Schulenburg.
