ALLEYTON— The public is invited to attend a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Camp Oak Haven, formerly Gulf Coast Christian Youth Camp, at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3 hosted by Orr Family Ministries and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.

The camp is located at 1115 CR 307 in Alleyton (just off FM 102).

Following the ribbon cutting, lunch will be served in the mess hall at $15 for those 12 and up and $5 for those under 12.

The ribbon cutting is a celebration of the camp’s past and future. According to a release, Orr Family Ministries acquired the campgrounds a year ago and, since then, have set out to revitalize the facilities and continue building the legacy of those who worked tirelessly to make this camp, “A place to grow your faith.”

Camp Oak Haven is a 12.5acre campground surrounded by 100-year-old oak trees where people may hold camps, retreats, and family reunions.

“We are very excited to welcome Camp Oak Haven to our Chamber family,” said Janet Hollmann, Chamber events director. “This facility is such a great asset to our community.”

Those interested in learning more about Camp Oak Haven or would like to book their next family reunion, retreat, or camping experience, can call Loretta or Riley at 972-804-2712.
