LA GRANGE – On Tuesday, May 23, the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild held their second Charity Quilt Workshop.

The guild said over 50 Charity Quilts have been donated to local nursing homes in Schulenburg, Columbus, Weimar, Flatonia and LaGrange since Sept. 1. The guild said everyone made haste cutting, piecing, compiling and making kits to take home. CVQG said they are assembling over 110 more quilts for area seniors.

Another one of their projects for seniors is the Adult Shirt Protectors. Contact Carolyn Cheatham for Charity Quilts or Janice Raabe to help with constructing the Adult Shirt Protectors at [email protected].

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl St., Room A East. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. The meetings are open to the public. To learn more about the organization, visit coloradovalleyqg. com.
